Why slam? Is slam for me? How do I win? An in-depth look into the world of poetry slam competitions as well as the mind of the competitor. We will explore slam strategy, preparation and the benefits of slam as a tool to support the poets.

Are you interested in getting live feedback from a panel of award winning poets? Here is your chance to share a poem and grow in real time. Participants do not have to share a poem. You are also encouraged to attend and listen to other poets, get feedback and learn from the experience.

Black Chakra embodies the city of Baltimore through passionate performance and incredible writing.
